Effective August 15, 2026 · Last updated August 15, 2026

Damascus Road Community Church ("DRCC," "we," "us," or "our") is a church located at 2363 South Kennedy Lane, Suite 6, Yuma, Arizona 85365. We respect your privacy and are committed to protecting the personal information you choose to share with us through this website, our forms, and our ministries. This policy explains what we collect, why we collect it, how we use it, and the choices and rights you have.

1. Information We Collect

We only collect information you voluntarily provide, plus limited technical data:

  • Information you give us. Name, email address, phone number, and any message or prayer request you submit through our "Plan Your Visit" or "Contact Us" forms, or that you share with us by email.
  • Technical information. Standard server and browser data such as IP address, browser type, device type, referring page, and pages viewed. This is used for security and to keep the site working properly.

We do not knowingly collect Social Security numbers, financial account numbers, health information, precise geolocation, or biometric data through this website.

2. How We Use Your Information

  • To respond to your message, question, or visit request
  • To have our pastoral team personally follow up and connect with you
  • To send you church-related information you requested
  • To maintain the security and proper functioning of our website
  • To comply with applicable law

We never sell, rent, or trade your personal information to anyone, for any purpose. We do not use your information for targeted advertising.

3. How We Share Information

We share personal information only in these limited circumstances:

  • Service providers. Trusted vendors who help us operate the site and deliver email (for example, our website host and our email delivery provider). They may only use the information to perform services for us.
  • Church leadership and volunteers who need the information to respond to you or provide pastoral care.
  • Legal requirements. When required by law, subpoena, or court order, or to protect the safety, rights, or property of any person — including reporting obligations under Arizona law, such as mandatory reporting of suspected abuse or neglect of a child or vulnerable adult (A.R.S. §§ 13-3620 and 46-454).

4. Confidential and Pastoral Communications

Communications made in confidence to a member of the clergy in their professional capacity may be protected under Arizona's clergy-penitent privilege (A.R.S. § 13-4062). Please note that information you submit through a public website form is not a substitute for a confidential pastoral conversation and may be seen by staff or volunteers who assist with follow-up. For sensitive or confidential matters, please contact Pastor Randy Mosley directly or in person.

5. Data Security

We use reasonable administrative, technical, and physical safeguards to protect your information, including encrypted (HTTPS) transmission of all form submissions and limited access to submitted data. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, so we cannot guarantee absolute security.

In the event of a breach of unencrypted, unredacted personal information, we will notify affected individuals as required by Arizona's data breach notification law (A.R.S. § 18-552) and any other applicable law.

6. Data Retention

We keep form submissions and contact information only as long as needed to respond to you, maintain our church records, and meet legal or accounting requirements. You may ask us to delete your information at any time using the contact details below.

7. Your Rights and Choices

You may at any time ask us to:

  • Access or receive a copy of the personal information we hold about you
  • Correct information that is inaccurate or incomplete
  • Delete your information from our records
  • Stop contacting you, or remove you from any church mailing list

To make a request, email damascusroadyuma@gmail.com. We will respond within a reasonable time, generally within 45 days. We will not discriminate against you for exercising these rights.

Depending on where you live, you may have additional rights under laws such as the California Consumer Privacy Act (CCPA/CPRA) or the EU/UK General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR). We honor these requests regardless of your location. Note that as a nonprofit religious organization, DRCC is generally not a "business" subject to the CCPA, and Arizona has not enacted a general consumer privacy statute; we nevertheless extend these protections as a matter of practice.

8. Email Communications

When you submit a form, you will receive a confirmation email and may receive follow-up from our team. Every non-transactional email we send includes a way to unsubscribe, and we honor opt-out requests promptly, consistent with the federal CAN-SPAM Act. If you provide a phone number, we will only call or text you about your inquiry.

9. Children's Privacy

This website is intended for a general audience and is not directed to children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13 online without verifiable parental consent, consistent with the Children's Online Privacy Protection Act (COPPA). Children's ministry participation forms are collected offline from a parent or guardian. If you believe a child has provided information through this site, contact us and we will delete it.

10. Cookies and Tracking

Our website uses only the cookies and local storage necessary for the site to function. We do not use advertising or cross-site tracking cookies. You can control cookies through your browser settings. Because we do not track users across third-party sites, we do not respond to "Do Not Track" browser signals.

11. Third-Party Links and Embedded Media

Our site links to and embeds content from third-party services such as Facebook, Instagram, YouTube, and Google Maps. Those services have their own privacy policies and may collect information about you when you interact with their content. We are not responsible for their practices, and we encourage you to review their policies.

12. Giving and Donations

If we offer online giving, payments are processed by a third-party payment processor. We do not receive or store your full card or bank account numbers. Donation records are kept as required for charitable contribution receipts and IRS reporting, and are treated as confidential church records.

13. Photography and Video at Church Events

We sometimes photograph or record worship services and church events for ministry and promotional purposes, including social media. Attendance at a public church gathering may result in your image being captured. If you prefer not to appear, please let a staff member know or contact us and we will honor your request and remove existing images where reasonably possible.

14. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. The "Last updated" date at the top reflects the most recent revision. Material changes will be posted on this page.
